PEAK OU Temporary Services
PEAK is a temporary employment internal placement service managed by the Office of Human Resources for the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Our goal is to provide quality service and a cost-effective solution to temporary staffing needs for any OU department.
PEAK technicians in the Office of Human Resources work with departments to understand staffing needs and to manage the recruitment process. They also provide assistance to PEAK applicants.

Duration and Conditions of PEAK Assignments
- The length of a PEAK assignment varies depending on departmental needs.
- A PEAK appointment can end unexpectedly or be extended to complete an assignment.
- PEAK assignments have a minimum work time of two hours.
- PEAK temporary employees who work long-term assignments in the same department must take a four week break from that department after working 1040 hours.
- During any enforced break periods from a continuous assignment, temporary employees can continue to work PEAK assignments in other University departments.
- PEAK temporary employees working intermittent assignments do not require a break in service between assignments.
- PEAK temporary employees will be evaluated by their department at the end of their assignments for quality control.

To Request a PEAK temporary employee: call PEAK at (405) 325-1826 and provide the following information:
- Required Skills/ Minimum Qualifications
- Account number to be billed
- Location of the job
- Supervisor's name and phone number
- Start date and approximate end date
- Hours (All day, half day, start time, AM or PM, with 2 hour minimum).
Contact PEAK for assistance if at any time, a department is dissatisfied with the quality of work performed by a PEAK temporary employee.
